Fancy having a crack at this? Check these guys out for a great place to start:
For information on Hammocks, see the following:
“Warbonnet Hammocks” – I have the Warbonnet Blackbird and Mamajamba flysheet
“Hennessy Hammocks” – Worth a look as an alternative
“Clarke Hammocks” – Also worth a look as an alternative, their neat new tent/hammock hybrid looks good.
The little clips I use to secure my fly are called “Niteize No.9s”
For Storm Kettles see:
“Kelly Kettles” – I have the Stainless Steel Trecker
“Tornado Boilers” – A UK version of the same. There are a lot of other storm kettles around, a quick google will show you.
The Existential Biker – I met Lousia at the HUBB and will be following her land speed record exploits here. Worth a read for sure!
Bison Bushcraft – The most gorgeous handmade knives, friendly support and a wealth of other bushcraft and outdoor gear. A good place to start shopping for me this (or any) Christmas 😉
Check out this guy. Little Dom has almost completed his solo ride from the UK to Japan. He’s been doing it for charity, making some really cool videos along the way.
Here’s a great blog detailing Chip & Ken’s trip around the world. We’re taking the same route and at this point we’re traveling together. It’s great for me to read, as it’s a different take on the day and offer mentions something I missed.
Check it out….

Hi Mark,
Congratulations on completing your adventure!!
Just a note to let you know that the fish are fine in Melbourne! We intended contacting you earlier but…. We only had two casualties in the first day or two, a couple of Rasboras that “slipped through the net”. We also gave the ailing Gourami a humane end. Other than that, they are all well and thriving.
We have also added about 12 Neon Tetras, which are also happily sharing the tank. It still looks wonderful and gives us much peace and pleasure.
Thanks,
Doug

Hi Sophie, I just found your card while sorting through my list of cards. I remember meeting you on one of the RECOA rides. It must have been an AGM gathering as I would have ridden from Perth. Happy to hear that you got home safely from Australia. Hope you are keeping safe with this virus thing going on. We have been quite ok here in Western Australia with our borders closed, and keeping isolated. All the best with the new project, please post a video of it when it’s running. Can’t wait to hear what it sounds like. Cheers, Graeme Morrell.
